Black performers are not a category
A race filter can help discovery, but it should never flatten a person into a stereotype.

Discovery is not identity
A Black or ebony filter is a way to narrow inventory. It is not a complete description of a person.
There is no single Black experience
African American, Afro-Latino, Caribbean, African, British and mixed-background creators can have very different lives.
Avoid racist scripts
Do not impose stereotypes about anatomy, aggression, dominance, poverty or availability.
Let the room define itself
Listen to the performer’s own words, subject and boundaries rather than inventing a character.
Black performers deserve the same dignity, privacy and ordinary human complexity as anyone else. A live room does not erase that.
